On 21 July 2025, the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a seminar on "Preparation for Hosting Foreign Dignitaries Visits and International Conferences in Thailand in 2025" at the Dusit Thani Bangkok. More than 30 government agencies responsible for protocol and VIP services participated in the event.

          The seminar brought together key stakeholders to share expertise and best practices for hosting international meetings and high-level visits. Discussions focused on streamlining facilitation processes, coordinating security measures, and ensuring proper protocol for foreign leaders and dignitaries. The event also strengthened inter-agency collaboration and relationships to better support Thailand's upcoming role as host country for major international conferences, including the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Ministerial Meeting and the 5th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Leaders' Summit, scheduled for later in 2025.
