            On 21 – 23 August 2025, Mr. Chakkrid Krachaiwong, Director-General of Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the delegation from Department of Protocol to Songkhla Province to conduct “Protocol Outreach Programme.” The objectives of the programme were to strengthen the confidence of the foreign missions in Songkhla Province on the services of Thai authorities and to promote the e-Protocol system. The delegation had an opportunity to discuss and exchange views on the facilitation of diplomatic and consular privileges and immunities with the representatives of foreign missions located in Songkhla Province, namely Mr. Ahmad Fahmi Bin Ahmad Sarkawi, Consul-General of Malaysia, Mr. Zhijian Wang, Consul-General of the People's Republic of China, and Mr. Mochammad Rizki Safary, Consul of the Republic of Indonesia. The meeting allowed the delegation to acknowledge concerns and issues raised by the representatives, so that Department of Protocol would be able to provide better facilitations of diplomatic privileges and immunities.
            In this occasion, the Director-General and the delegation paid a courtesy call on Mr. Chotnarin Kerdsom, Governor of Songkhla Province, to discuss and exchange views on cooperation between the province and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation also held discussions with relevant provincial agencies in Songkhla Province and presented an overview on the department’s responsibilities to enhance better understanding on privileges and immunities. Furthermore, the delegation conducted site visits to the land plots that were allocated to be used as premises of the foreign consulates.
