On 25 June 2021, Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, organized an official ceremony to bid farewell to H.E. Mr. Andrii Beshta, Ambassador of Ukraine to Thailand who passed away on 30 May 2021, at the VIP Terminal, Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Mr. Chittipat Tongprasroeth, Director-General of the Department of Protocol, as representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Mrs. Nataliia Beshta, spouse of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Thailand, and her two sons participated in the ceremony in honour of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Thailand. The ceremony was also attended by Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, Mr. Pavlo Orel, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine to Thailand, Mr. Nattaphong Sitthichai, Director of Protocol Division and Mr. Phasit Chudabuddhi, Director of East European Division.
Mr. Preecha Tirakijpong, Honorary Consul-General of Ukraine to Bangkok, Miss Bang Orn Jansanthia, Honorary Consul of Ukraine to Pattaya, Ukrainian diplomats as well as close friends of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Thailand were also present at the ceremony.
On this occasion, the Director-General of the Department of Protocol and the Director-General of the Department of European Affairs paid homage to the Ambassador by placing garlands on the urn. After that, the Director-General of the Department of Protocol led the family pass the Guards of Honour, and gave a photobook as a remembrance for the Ambassador's family.
