On 17 August 2023, Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Director-General of the Department of Protocol and Lieutenant Banpoth Ujjin, Director of the Diplomatic Privilege and Immunity Division, had a meeting with representatives from the Honorary Consuls Association (Thailand).
Both sides discussed on the roles of the Honorary Consuls in Thailand, privileges and immunity provided to the Honorary Consuls, as well as newly updated requirements for the establishment of Honorary Consular Posts.
