Diplomatic and Consular Corps attend the Auspicious Candle Lighting Ceremony in commemoration of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thailand’s Father’s Day and National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand 5 December 2020

                               On 5 December 2020, the Royal Thai Government organized the Auspicious Candle Lighting Ceremony in commemoration of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thailand’s Father’s Day and National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand 5 December 2020 at Sanam Luang Grounds. 137 Diplomatic and Consular Corps from 94 countries as well the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC) also attended the Ceremony.

                                They also witnessed the choreographed drone light show of images of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great as well as choir performances by Thai youth and cultural performances by the Thai communities during the Ceremony.

                                On the same day, the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also hosted Reception for the Diplomatic and Consular Corps and representatives of the United Nations at Vithes Samosorn Hall prior to the event.
